Derelict Farmhouse attracts a full Auction Room

Pughs conducted their June property auction where the star of the show was a Farmhouse which has been derelict for approximately 40 years set within 2 acres of garden and paddocks in the village of Aston Ingham.

The guide for this property was 90,000 - 130,000. There were many buyers in the room for it and bidding started swiftly and soon reached 140,000 where there was a brief pause before two bidders took the property to 200,000. There was another brief pause as a new bidder took over and the bidding went steadily to 251,000 where it was finally sold to a local purchaser. Auctioneer James Pugh was jovial within the bidding and was happy to take a 1,000 bid.

Other sales that evening included a three bedroom detached house in Tarrington in need of modernisation with a guide of 180,000 - 220,000 sold for 265,000. Also a town property with a large garden with potential for residential development with a guide of 220,000 - 280,000 sold for a good price of 256,000.
