Scorching Monmouth!! |
The sun was hot but the bidding was even hotter as H J Pugh & Co held their second auction at The Border Counties Vintage Rally at Vauxhall Fields, Monmouth, on Bank Holiday Saturday.
The auction was small in number of lots however there were a very good number of buyers who were keen to spend their hard earned money.
From the selection of tractors top price went to a 3-cylinder MF35 diesel tractor in rally condition. This was finally sold for £2,900. Other additional parts for the tractor, which were sold separately also sold well.
Other tractor and vehicle prices included Industrial Fordson Standard in rally condition £2,200, Triumph 350 CCT90 motorcycle £2,000, Fordson Major with cab £1,600, Ferguson T20 straight petrol £1,200, David Brown 880 £1,050.
Other noticeable prices included Ivor Williams twin axle flat bed trailer £1,000, Sallop tipping trailer £450, Unusual engine with pump £140, Anvil £130, Howard rotovator £105, Dog cart £80.
